Paper Submission deadlines

With the American Finance Association's (AFA) annual meeting upon us, it is a good time to remind people that the deadline for submitting papers to the Financial Management Assocation (FMA) 2005 meeting is rapidly approaching.

The FMA Meetings are in Chicago this year. The deadline for submission is January 14, 2005. Papers should be submitted in pdf format through the FMA website. Don't forget!

Not as quickly approaching but still worth planning for is the Southern Finance Association's annual meeting. It is in Key West this year. While Key West is not the best locale for running, and it is sort of difficult to get direct flights, it is a nice place and always attracts many good papers. (It should be noted that this is always one of my favorite conferences so I hope to attend this year!) Papers must be submitted by March 7, 2005. They must be submitted electronically through their site.

As the Southern Finance website mentions: if you do not have the ability to make PDF files, there are several free sites online that will do it for you:

There are a number of sites where you can have a Word document converted into pdf format. For example:

http://www.gobcl.com/
http://createpdf.adobe.com/
http://www.daneprairie.com/products/win2pdf.htm

Good luck and I hope to see you (and your papers) at each!

Postscript:

I was also informed that January 11th is the deadline for submission for the Asian Financial Management Association meetings.
